Chicago weddings run in every season, and the bouquet needs something different from you depending on which one you had. Summer humidity works against fresh blooms. A January wedding gives you more room, but a bouquet left in a cold trunk overnight will still be damaged.
Either way, get the flowers indoors and into water once the formal photos are finished. A rooftop or River North venue will usually hold them behind the bar if you ask. Room temperature is what you want — not a freezing car, not a warm radiator.
Then pack them dry using our step-by-step packing guide, which covers cushioning and keeping moisture out of the box. Overnight and 1–2 day shipping are simple to arrange from Downtown, Lincoln Park, Evanston or out in Naperville. Aim to send within about two days of the wedding. The sooner the flowers reach the studio, the more color and shape we have to work with.
